Baja Outdoor Adventure

Kayaking at Balandra

Explore Baja at Sunrise or Sunset

Experience

Itinerary: Choose between the soft morning light of sunrise or the golden glow of sunset while gliding through a protected area. Your adventure begins at Balandra Beach, where you’ll meet your local guide, get fitted with your kayaking equipment, and receive a brief safety orientation before setting off across the bay.

Paddle toward the hidden mangrove channels, a protected area that shelters one of Baja’s most remarkable ecosystems. Along the way, keep an eye out for dolphins, sea turtles, rays, pelicans, frigatebirds, and other marine wildlife that call the bay home. Surrounded by birds, you’ll discover one of La Paz’s best-kept secrets as your guide shares fascinating stories about the mangroves and their vital role in protecting the Sea of Cortez’s unique ecosystem.

Before heading back, unwind on the quiet beaches of Balandra, where you’ll enjoy a delicious meal and refreshing water while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Then, paddle back with a deeper connection to the wild and peaceful side of Baja.
